Best LBD Ever

This really is the best LBD ever. I bought it years ago and I've probably worn it a gazillion times. I can dress it down with flats, style it professionally with a blazer or formally for special occasions. I don't own a whole ton of professional clothing so when I was getting ready early one morning (too early for my brain to function) I grabbed this dress. Throw on a blazer and heels and you would never know that I was half asleep-- thank goodness for Starbucks!

White After Labor Day?

I'm so happy that I decided to order this skort. I've worn it a ton already and I'm always thinking of a million different ways to style it. I already have a list of outfits planned for the cooler weather-- if it ever decides to get here. I'm thinking about ordering it in the white as well. I know, I know it's after labor day, but it's okay I'm a huge proponent for breaking the rules and wearing white in winter.

Still Summer

Forget everything I've said recently about wearing muted tones for fall. It's technically not fall yet and it sure doesn't feel like the weather is going to cool down anytime soon. I've decided to take these last few weeks of summer and wear all the brightly colored outfits I haven't worn yet this season. One piece I absolutely love is this sequined mini skirt which I haven't worn that much this summer. Second thought-- I just thought of a cute way to style this skirt for the winter time. And cue the fall excitement again.

Office Attire

I'm sorry I've been absent from blogging recently, but I have some good news. I started a new job this week; I'm so excited to start this new adventure! The first week of a new job is always stressful and a little hectic, plus I'm still working at my other job as well which makes my spare time super limited. Hence the lack of time to blog.

I did however have time to snap some photos of the outfit I wore for my first day. I'm not going to lie, I generally hate office attire. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of cute options out there. But I hate the mundane black and grey suits, plus it's difficult to find things that fit well and are figure flattering. I found this pencil skirt at Target a couple of weeks ago, it fits great and feels well-made. I couldn't pass up the fun leopard print, it's a great piece to add to an otherwise boring office outfit.

What are your thoughts on office attire, do you love it or hate it?

August Favorites

August can be a tricky month when it comes to style. It's technically still summer and it definitely feels like summer, but all the stores start stocking the shelves with fall colors, fashions and decor. Which in turn gets me oh-so-excited for the fall season. To satiate my cravings for boots, scarves and coats I simply wear summer appropriate clothing-- (anything that won't make me die of a heat stoke), but with more muted tones and darker fall-like colors.

Also I can't believe this handbag was even a hesitation when I purchased it. I think I've worn it every single day this month, with the exception of two or three days. I've become so used to small cross-body bags for the last couple of years, I forgot how great it is to carry around a huge bag that can fit everything I own. Well, until I need to find my car keys and it takes me 5 minutes to rummage through the black-pit that is my handbag.
