Warming up to Black

Lately I've been gravitating towards black. It's so easy to just throw on without any thought and look chic. It matches with everything and is always in. I worked at Victoria's Secret for years and had to wear all black, because I was always in black at work I never wanted to wear it outside of work. I'm glad I'm finally over my sick of wearing black phase.

Jacket: Nasty Gal (similar, similar, similar)
Dress: Sheinside
Necklace: Francesca's
Booties: Target

  1. Such a cute look! I can totally see how having a strict wardrobe at work would make you not want to wear that color elsewhere. Congrats on the feature!

  2. I went through a sick of wearing black phase for some time too! I love this outfit!

  3. I love that jacket. In a print like that, I like a structured jacket over a cardigan.

  4. I love that asymmetrical dress! I've never ordered from sheinside...are their sizes comparable to stores like Banana Republic and JCrew?

  5. Jen, I love clothes from Sheinside. But their sizing can be very tricky. They have the dimensions of the clothing in the description of each item. It's in centimeters though, you have to know your measurements before you order anything!

  6. I go through phases where I favor brights and other colors over black. But like you said, there's just something so easy and safe and classic about black that is impossible to avoid! Love that jacket!
