Little Boho Dress

I love these types of little dresses, they are so incredibly easy to style. Need to dress up? put on some cute heels, dress it down? sandals or wedges, cold weather? throw on a sweater, tights and boots. Viola the perfect little dress for almost any occasion. I have the feeling you will be seeing this dress again in the warmer months.

Banana Republic Madmen Collection

I love Banana Republic and I love the show Madmen so the two combined is a match made in heaven! I loved last year's collection, I didn't end up purchasing anything but I did lust after almost everything oh so much. I'm a little disappointed in this year's collection, it's underwhelming in my opinion. It's not horrible of course (how could it be?). I thought I would share the few pieces I do like from the collection.

Forever21 Haul

When I was in high school Forever21 was my favorite store ever. I remember shopping there with my friends, we would spend hours in that store and end up in the fitting rooms with armfuls of clothing. Then I kind of went through a phase where I felt Forever21 was too young and I wanted higher quality clothing, basically I thought I was too good to shop there. Well recently I have been very impressed with Forever21, if you purchase the right pieces they will last you for a while. And you absolutely can't beat the prices. The following four items I purchased totaled only $57, you really can't get any better than that!

I have been searching high and low for the perfect peplum top and I am in love with this one. The peplum doesn't flare out too much and it hits me at just the right spot. Plus the fabric is actually really thick and feels high quality.

For some reason I love blazers on everyone and their mom but on me, I never really like the way they look. I'm not sure why that is. This blazer just like any other is super cute, but I'm not crazy about it on me. However I do love the fabric. It looks nice but it feels really light weight, which is great for the warm Florida weather.

I am in serious love with this necklace. It's not huge so it doesn't look gaudy and it looks so much more expensive than its' $10 price tag.

Macrame Cardigan
Unfortunately this item is sold out. I did get it on sale for only $12. I think out of everything I ordered this will get the most use in my closet. I love the earthy-boho look especially during the summer. This cardigan will be perfect to layer over just about any outfit I will be wearing this summer.

2013 Oscar's Best and Worst

I love watching celebrities walk down the red carpet during award season. I could watch them parade around in their gowns for hours. The funny thing is while I would die to wear these gowns, my dream would really be to choose these dresses. Sometimes I watch and see the dresses selected and think, "what on earth was their stylist (or lack there of) thinking?". While some gowns leave me wanting to slam my head into a wall, there are always a handful of dresses that make me gasp with fashion thrill!

Worst Dressed:

These are the gowns that I saw and then wanted to cry. Out of all the unbelievably gorgeous gowns that celebrities can wear these women chose this?

Kristin Stewart in Reem Acra

Kelly Rowland in Donna Karen Atelier

Renee Zellweger in Carolina Herrera

Zoe Saldana in Alexis Mabille

My worst dressed pick:

Olivia Munn in Marchesa
This dress is just all around bad. Even on the runway it didn't look great, so I am not sure why this gown was chosen. I usually love Marchesa gowns but this one really missed the mark for me.

Best Dressed:
These are the gowns that I wait all year to see. When I see these women walk onto the red carpet in these gorgeous creations my heart skips a beat. These are the ones who really did it right in my book.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta

Jennifer Aniston in Valentino

Jennifer Garner in Gucci

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

My best dressed pick:

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen

This was a really difficult choice for me. I love all of these gowns, Jennifer Lawrence in Dior was a really close second, but I have to give it to Seyfried. When I saw her in this gown my jaw dropped. I love everything about this dress as well as her hair and makeup, I think she looks flawless. Plus I loved her in Les Mis.

Who was your favorite and least favorite at the 2013 Oscar's?

Inspired by the Runway (Nicole Miller)

Today's outfits are inspired by the runway. I love these looks by Nicole Miller. The dark colors mixed with floral patterns give an edgy yet feminine feel. I also like the look of high-low skirts and dresses. I hope you do as well, because you will be seeing lots of them on here.

Out to Dinner

My mom and younger sister came into town today so I met them for dinner. I was excited to wear these shoes I scored on sale at Dillard's earlier this week. I'm loving them and they're comfortable. Cute and comfy? Sounds like a win to me.

A Little Bit Country

I saw this Picture on Pinterest a while ago. I thought it was cute so I kept it in the back of my mind for a day when I couldn't think of anything to wear, and today was that day. It was really warm today so I couldn't wear my solid chambray top because it's kind of thick. I'm not sure if it was my boots or the floral print on this shirt but I felt like all I needed was a cowboy hat and I would be set for a visit to a farm.

Last Minute Outfit

I had a completely different outfit planned out for today. I was so excited to wear it, I thought it would look so cute. But when I woke up and put the outfit on it looked horrendous! Don't you hate when that happens? It looked amazing in my head but in real life it just didn't work. I was running late of course, so I didn't have much time to think of an outfit. I threw this on because I knew all the pieces work together.

I actually love this look and I'm glad I ended up wearing it. It's starting to get hot this week... I mean like 90's. So today might be one of the last days I can pull of boots and scarves. Sigh, I really need to get out of Florida.

Leopard Print

One of my many fashion loves is leopard print. I don't own a whole ton of it because frankly, if it isn't done correctly it can look tacky. Today was gorgeous outside, so it was perfect for this thin sweater from Loft.

NYFW 2013

The last NYFW post was all gowns. While I love to look at gorgeous gowns and dream of a life filled with red carpet events and galas, let's be honest they're just not practical. I picked out some more wearable looks from the runway that I love. Remember some of these runway looks are lavish and over the top. But when I look at them I don't think I would wear that exact outfit. Maybe I like the print, or colors, or just one piece of the outfit like a top or skirt.

Keep a look out for run-way inspired looks. I am going to try and see if I can put together some outfits inspired by the runway!
