Warming up to Black

Lately I've been gravitating towards black. It's so easy to just throw on without any thought and look chic. It matches with everything and is always in. I worked at Victoria's Secret for years and had to wear all black, because I was always in black at work I never wanted to wear it outside of work. I'm glad I'm finally over my sick of wearing black phase.

Sweater Weather

Can we talk about the song Sweater Weather? I'm obsessed, every time I'm in my car it's on repeat. It seems like Sweater Weather is the title of every blog post I've read this week, so it must be everyone else's favorite song too. I wanted to jump on the band wagon and name a post after my favorite song, unfortunately Florida didn't get the sweater weather memo. But it's okay, kimono-- sweater close enough right?

Sparkly Everything

I'm not sure why but I am obsessed with anything that's sparkly lately-- actually I do know why, the holidays are coming.. duh. All of the stores are already stocked with sequins and shiny things. I am currently on the hunt for the perfect sequined dress, I've been wanting one for the last two holiday seasons but I haven't found one that's just right. This sequined mini skirt will have to hold me over for now-- And this necklace which I am smitten with.

A Fashion Love Affair

I've mentioned Cara from, A Fashion Love Affair on here before. I love her style, a lot of my fashion inspiration comes from her. I bought this dress after seeing it on her blog and it is easily my favorite dress in my closet. Cara has such a chic and effortless look, when I saw this outfit on her blog a few weeks ago I just had to recreate it!

Leather Jacket

Yesterday I shared with you my hunt for a utility jacket and today it's a leather jacket-- well faux leather anyways. I had my eye on this one from Express for a while and after debating on which color I wanted for months I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for black. This jacket is great it fits well and looks/feels like real leather. You'll probably be seeing this jacket many times as well.

Utility Jacket

I have been on a serious hunt for a utility jacket these past couple of months. While this one isn't exactly perfect, it will do for the time being. I love the look of these jackets they add a little roughness to any outfit. Since I have been searching for so long,  I have tons of ideas for how I want to style it. You better get used to seeing it!

New Booties

I saw these Jeffrey Campbell booties last year and fell in love. I never pulled the trigger and ordered them, before I knew it they were sold out everywhere. I'm a total victim of the whole "you want what you can't have"-- whenever something I kind of want sells out it makes me really want.. NEED it.  After signing up for Poshmark a few months ago and regularly perusing the new posts I found these lovelies! They are brand new, my size and the seller wanted half the original selling price. I don't know about you but I definitely call that fate.

Salem, MA

On our last day in Boston we decided to drive up to Salem. I had been wanting to visit every time I went up but we never had the time. Fortunately our last afternoon was free so we drove up. It was a neat town, bigger than I thought it would be but it still felt small and quaint. If you're ever in Massachusetts I definitely recommend visiting Salem, it's a cool place to see!
