Maxi Dress Love

Sorry I have been MIA for the last week. I had to take the GRE exam yesterday, over the last few days any waking second I had was spent cramming as much information as I possibly could into my brain. It feels good to have that finished and  finally out of the way! 

Now onto something two things that you know I'm obsessed with. Blazers and maxi dresses, I don't know why I haven't put them together yet. Maybe it's because I think maxi dresses are synonyms with casual wear and summertime while blazers are more sophisticated and dressy. Since my favorite combo lately has been a blazer over a casual jeans and t-shirt, I thought why not throw a blazer on with a maxi to dress it up a little? Genius! I love this look, it's ideal for a summer occasion that calls for a more dressed up ensemble

Love at First Sight

I love these pants. They were actually the first pair of printed denim I fell in love with. Before I found them I was very skeptical of the new trend. But I had to have them. 

Unfortunately I purchased them while I was really into taking spin classes. As a result my legs were about a size smaller than they are right now. I have officially fallen out of my work out routine and by officially I mean I haven't worked out regularly since, I don't know... October? Yeah way too long. Luckily with some breath holding and butt wiggling I was able to get them on. Pair with a baggy shirt and viola they fit. Now maybe I should see about getting myself back into the gym-- maybe.

Casual Chic

I have officially decided, all I have to do is throw on a blazer and it makes any outfit chic. Jeans and a blazer is one of my favorite no-brainer outfit combos lately. I can't believe it has taken me this long to add a blazer into my wardrobe, I wear this with almost everything. I must have looked so un-chic without one.

When I received a Tory Burch e-mail informing me about the 30% off sale I was so excited to look through all of the items. If money was endless and I could choose whatever I wanted from the sale these are the items I would add to my wardrobe. Sigh my wallet is not bottomless, so a girl can only dream right?

Coral Jeans

One of my many style icons is Lauren Conrad, I just love her simple feminine style. I saw this outfit photo on Pinterest over a year ago and ever since I have been searching for the perfect pair of coral jeans. I happened to come across this pair at American Eagle a couple of months ago and I was so excited. The color is exactly what I had been looking for and I love AE jeans, they fit me perfectly.

Impulse Purchase

I saw this dress on Pink Peonies and instantly fell in love. Luckily it was still available online and on sale. I definitely made an impulse purchase for this one, which I almost never do when shopping online.  I'm so glad I did because it is adorable and so comfortable, it feels like I'm wearing pajamas. This will definitely be one of my most worn pieces this summer.

Splurge vs. Save

A few weeks ago I was on the hunt for a simple white sundress. I scoured the internet and came across this gorgeous dress. Unfortunately the price point was well over my budget. I couldn't find any others that were quite right so I gave up on my search. I popped into Old Navy last week just to see if I could find any gems and I saw this perfect little white sundress. It reminded me of the Chloe one I found online, only it was way under budget. I was so excited I tried it on and it fit perfectly, I'm so excited to wear this dress all summer.

Summer is Here

One thing I love about summer is wearing bright colors-- I realize that it's not technically summer yet, but let me tell you, it feels like summer here in Florida. I hate that first time you get into your car and it feels like the inside of an oven, that's when you know summer is here. Oh and the love-bugs, if your not from Florida or you've never been down here at the beginning of summer, don't!-- Unless you want you and your car to be attacked by these pesky little bugs. 

Okay, enough wining about awful weather and bugs. I think these shorts will be a staple in my wardrobe this summer. They are oh so comfortable and light. Plus the pattern is so cute, and in my opinion they look way more expensive than they actually were (thank you Forever21).
