Squeal Worthy

I'm kind of... no, definitely obsessed with this skirt. I may or may not have squealed like a little girl when I saw it in these photos. I had been eyeing it online for quite some time and then saw this photo on Pinterest, I decided this skirt was a must for my wardrobe. I need to be better about only purchasing clothing pieces that literally make me squeal. I just cleaned out my closet and realized I have way too many things that make me go meh.

Chic Shorts

I found this style inspiration on Pinterest and fell in love with the look. This ensemble is ideal for dressing up a pair of shorts. During the warmer weather months I tend to gravitate more towards casual looks or light dresses/skirts when I want to look dressed up. This pin reminded me, putting on a blouse, shorts, blazer and heels makes for an instantly chic look. This will definitely be one of my go-to outfit recipes this summer.

Pattern Mixing

I saw these shorts on the J.Crew Factory website and immediately knew I had to have them, the color and pattern just screams-- ME! I would by no means consider myself a pattern-mixing expert, the thought of it actually frightens me a little bit. But the way the J.Crew model was styled looked simple enough, a classic striped t-shirt paired with the loud pattern of the shorts is a good first step. I thought, maybe it's time to put my big girl pants on and see what all this pattern-mixing-business is about. I'm not sure why I was so afraid of it, I actually really like it.

Today's post is about a serious style crush, Blake Lively. If I could steal anyone's wardrobe it would definitely be hers, I can't get enough of her boho-chic look. I first discovered my love for Lively's style through watching the show, 'Gossip Girl'. I'm kind of obsessed with that show.. don't judge me. Anyways, Lively plays NYC socialite Serena Vanderwoodson, whose style is impeccable, she quickly became my favorite character and style icon. Lively channels Serena's style into her real life wardrobe perfectly, I am in love with anything she wears.
